**Editor’s Note:** Bulgari’s latest Eclettica chapter, unveiled during Paris Haute Couture, presents 26 high jewelry pieces that blend diamond craftsmanship with lace-like intricacy, further blurring the line between jewelry and art.
[Seoul=RNX News] Reporter Jo Yeon-yi = Italian Roman high jeweler Bulgari (BVLGARI) has unveiled a new chapter of its recently launched high-end collection ‘ECLETTICA’. Specially presented for Paris Haute Couture, this high jewelry capsule collection comprises 26 masterpieces that weave diamonds with lace-like delicacy, showcasing Bulgari’s creativity and craftsmanship that have pushed the boundaries between jewelry and art.
Eclettica continues an ongoing dialogue with art, drawing inspiration from sculpture, painting, and architecture. Through Bulgari’s unique ‘artsmanship’—a fusion of artistic intuition and pioneering technology—high jewelry is expanded into a bold form of art.
In this new chapter, Bulgari extends the Maison’s distinctive creative language and exceptional craftsmanship into the realm of haute couture, making lace a new medium of expression. Diamonds are not merely set but connected in flexible openwork structures reminiscent of intricate lace craftsmanship.
Just as fabric gently envelops the body’s contours, precious metals and diamonds flow flexibly and elegantly with the wearer’s movements. Each piece, crafted as if shaping haute couture garments on a mannequin, conceals intricate structures composed of numerous links and connecting mechanisms. Through this, gold and diamonds wrap the body like a second skin—light, brilliant, and vibrant. This creative mastery of treating diamonds as a free and flexible material clearly defines Bulgari’s unparalleled identity in high jewelry.

Paying homage to the intricate artistry of filet lace, the Gabarit en Ajour high jewelry necklace features a brilliant geometric structure. Carre-cut and baguette-cut diamonds intersect with pavé-set diamonds, creating a delicate harmony between the precious metal frame, negative space, and ever-changing light reflections. The design, completed by meticulously connecting 185 modules, achieves a perfect balance between structural beauty and lightness. The warm-toned rose gold setting further accentuates the brilliance of each diamond, completing a striking visual contrast. Like a haute couture gown, it flows gracefully along the décolletage, elegantly enveloping the body.
Inspired by the intricate knotting techniques and delicate patterns of macramé lace, the Mélange Précieux high jewelry necklace is a piece where haute couture and Bulgari’s artistic craftsmanship converge. At the center of the necklace rests a rare 6.20-carat diamond, highly esteemed for its exceptional purity. Surrounding this diamond—featuring Triple Excellent cut—are round-cut, baguette-cut, and shuttle-cut diamonds in abundance. The 200 modules, crafted in platinum, form a flexible mesh structure, meticulously completed with very thin threads to achieve remarkable softness and flexibility. Like a delicate lace collar, it comfortably wraps the neck, offering both exceptional technical skill and comfortable wear.
Reinterpreting the centuries-old tradition of Burano lace with a modern artistic sensibility, the Serpenti de Tulle high jewelry necklace blends Italian heritage with Bulgari’s iconic Serpenti motif. Carre-cut, baguette-cut, and pavé-set diamonds are geometrically arranged in white gold to express tulle’s characteristic transparent texture and intricate weave structure. A total of 350 modules are delicately connected to achieve astonishing lightness, allowing light to flow naturally through the openwork patterns. The flexible structure evokes the soft movement of fabric, and a detachable chain is hidden in the back closure, allowing it to be freely added to the front or back of the necklace. This enhances versatility, enabling styling in various ways like haute couture garments.
Inspired by the intricate patterns of bobbin lace, the Dentelle Lumineuse high jewelry set expresses the brilliant movement of light created by diamonds. The choker, composed of 475 modules, features five round-cut diamonds totaling over 8 carats arranged vertically, forming the centerpiece of the design and emitting rich, dazzling brilliance. Pavé-set diamonds follow graceful curves reminiscent of lace, softly wrapping the neck like a second skin. A detachable pendant can also be worn as a bracelet, enhancing versatility, while the ring continues the same flowing lines. The earrings, set with over 21 carats of diamonds, offer abundant brilliance with movement, completing a set that captures the delicate and light sensation unique to lace.
