Duty-free retailers are ramping up summer promotions with deep discounts on luxury fashion and bundled travel perks, including accommodation and airline giveaways, to capture peak-season demand.
The duty-free industry is attracting summer vacation travelers’ shopping demand through online and offline discounts, as well as accommodation, airline, and fan meeting giveaways.
Lotte Duty Free is holding an offline event ‘Lotmyeonsse’ until August 31st to celebrate the summer vacation season.
At Myeongdong Main Store, World Tower Store, Jeju Store, and Busan Store, fashion items such as Tory Burch and Jimmy Choo are discounted up to 50%. Customers purchasing from participating brands in cosmetics, perfume, jewelry, watches, eyewear, and electronics will receive gifts and LDF PAY benefits. Additional benefits from Naver Pay and card companies are also available.
Lotte Internet Duty Free is running a shopping event ‘Duty Free Day’ until August 25th, offering discounts of up to 70% on popular items from Lancôme, Byredo, Jill Stuart, Ferragamo, Dyson, and LG Pra.L. Limited coupons are provided twice daily on a first-come, first-served basis. Exclusive discounts, limited products, and gift events from 9 signature brands and 32 participating brands are also offered to broaden shopping choices.
In the online and offline giveaway events, prizes include Signiel Seoul accommodation vouchers, Ray-Ban Meta smart sunglasses, La Seine dining vouchers, and round-trip airfare on Jeju Air international routes and to Kobe. Customers paying with KakaoPay can enter a draw for accommodation at Bali Oberoi, Hong Kong The Langham, and East Beijing. Lotte Duty Free stated it will continue events tailored to seasonal shopping demand.
Shilla Duty Free is holding its online and offline mega promotion ‘Shilla is on Sale’ until August 16th for the summer peak season. This is a major event held twice a year, in summer and winter, offering summer season special sales, discounts, and accommodation and fan meeting giveaways across online and offline channels to enhance the shopping experience and expand benefits for customers preparing for overseas travel.
Existing and new customers who meet purchase conditions can enter a draw for the ‘Shilla Monogram Gangneung Accommodation Package’. The Lee Jun-ho package includes a one-night stay in a room, breakfast for two, an autograph, and merchandise.
