**Editor’s Note:** NOUSAKU unveils its third “NS by NOUSAKU” collection, “Playing Cards,” on July 8, 2026. Designed by contemporary artist Kei Takemura, the line blends tin with embroidery-inspired aesthetics, offering customizable jewelry that redefines traditional craftsmanship.

NOUSAKU Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture; President: Chiharu Nousaku) will launch the third collection, “Playing Cards,” of its tin jewelry brand “NS by NOUSAKU” on Wednesday, July 8, 2026.
Featuring contemporary artist Kei Takemura, known for her expression of embroidery on photographs and drawings, as the designer, the collection offers customizable jewelry that fuses tin and embroidery.

The third collection features Kei Takemura, a globally renowned contemporary artist known for her unique expression of embroidery on photographs and drawings, as the jewelry designer.
With a playing card motif, the “Playing Cards” collection allows you to freely combine charms designed with numbers, suits, and face cards. In addition to base parts such as necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and ear cuffs, the collection includes over 40 types of charms.
NS by NOUSAKU jewelry uses the original material “Tin Gold.” By combining lightweight and flexible tin with gold, it achieves a smooth wearing experience that is not burdensome and adapts to the skin’s temperature.

After completing her master’s degree at Tokyo University of the Arts, she studied at the Berlin University of the Arts. Currently based in Gunma Prefecture, she creates works themed around memory, time, and human connections through embroidery. She has held numerous solo and group exhibitions both in Japan and internationally. Her works include pieces that give new value to broken items through embroidery, as well as a series featuring playing card motifs.
She has published collections such as “Takemura Kei in Berlin 2000-2005” (2005), “Prosaic Verse” (2012), and “PLAYING CARDS” (2017). Participating in the 15th Sydney Biennale (2005) and the Yokohama Triennale (2020), she continues to expand her activities while gaining high international acclaim.
