【Tokyo, Japan】Jewelry Brand L&Co. Opens Street-Level Stores Simultaneously in Ginza and Shinsaibashi

Editor’s Note

**Editor’s Note:** Jewelry brand L&Co. expands its retail footprint with dual street-level store openings in Tokyo’s Ginza and Osaka’s Shinsaibashi, marking a strategic shift from its previous department store-focused, M&A-driven growth model.

Jewelry Brand L&Co. Opens Street-Level Stores Simultaneously in Ginza and Shinsaibashi

Lucky & Company Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Yamanashi Prefecture) will open new street-level stores for its jewelry brand “L&Co.” in Tokyo’s Ginza 1-chome and Osaka’s Shinsaibashi. The Ginza store will occupy two floors (1F and 2F), while the Shinsaibashi store will operate as a standalone street-level shop.
Previously, the company expanded its business primarily through M&A-driven department store placements. However, in recent years, it has strengthened customer acquisition through its own e-commerce site, social media, and pop-up events. Moving forward, the company will fully transition to a D2C (Direct-to-Consumer) model that integrates directly operated stores with digital channels. As a jewelry manufacturer, the company handles everything from planning and production to sales, optimizing price, quality, and supply. Leveraging this strength, it will further enhance its own customer touchpoints.

Background of the Openings: Establishing “Self-Driven Customer Acquisition”

In recent years, Lucky & Company has strengthened its digital-based customer acquisition infrastructure: over 200,000 total social media followers, approximately 500,000 monthly website visits, and pop-up events held across Japan. By regularly hosting pop-up stores, the company continuously creates new touchpoints with customers. The integration of physical stores, e-commerce, and social media builds a system that seamlessly guides customers from brand discovery to purchase and long-term loyalty.
Against this backdrop, the company has shifted its strategy from “store openings dependent on sales floors” to “store openings where the brand itself attracts customers.” Following its Yamanashi-Kofu Atelier store and Aoyama store, the company is now accelerating street-level store expansion in urban areas.

Ginza 1-chome as Strategic Hub: Strengthening Inbound and Overseas E-Commerce

The Ginza store is positioned as the flagship store driving L&Co.’s global expansion. Leveraging the Ginza location, which attracts many foreign tourists, the company will enhance inbound demand acquisition while building a global sales system linked to its overseas e-commerce site. The company will create an environment where international customers who discover the brand in-store can continue purchasing products through the overseas e-commerce site after returning home, promoting an OMO (Online Merges with Offline) strategy that integrates physical and online channels. By connecting social media, web, domestic e-commerce, overseas e-commerce, and physical stores, the company aims to provide each customer with an optimal brand experience and achieve seamless cross-border customer touchpoints.

Comment from Store Operations Director Taiki Kojima
“L&Co. has been building a brand that connects directly with customers through its own e-commerce, social media, and pop-up events. The opening of these stores in Ginza and Shinsaibashi is an important step in further developing these efforts. Moving forward, we will promote an OMO strategy that integrates stores, e-commerce, and social media to provide each customer with a seamless purchasing experience. We aim to introduce L&Co. to domestic customers as well as inbound tourists in Japan, and create an environment where they can continue using the brand through our overseas e-commerce site after returning home.”
“Our goal is not to increase ‘places to sell,’ but to expand ‘places to encounter the brand.’ As a jewelry brand originating from Japan, we will continue to deliver new value and inspiration to customers both domestically and internationally.”
Future Outlook

Lucky & Company aims to further enhance brand value through the dual pillars of expanding directly operated stores and digital strategy. Going forward, the company will: expand street-level stores in major domestic cities, strengthen overseas e-commerce operations, capture inbound demand, hold regular pop-up events, and promote an OMO strategy integrating social media, web, e-commerce, and stores. Through these initiatives, the company will expand touchpoints with customers both domestically and internationally, accelerating growth in the global market as a Japan-originated jewelry brand.
“From ‘places to sell’ to ‘a brand that connects with people around the world.'” Lucky & Company will establish a new retail model integrating stores, e-commerce, and social media, evolving into a brand that builds long-term relationships with its customers.
