Around 99% of gold jewelry that undergoes state hallmark control in Ukraine is manufactured by Ukrainian companies. The share of imported products in this segment is only about 1%.
In contrast, the silver jewelry market is much more dependent on foreign suppliers. Nearly one in three silver pieces that undergo hallmark control in Ukraine is manufactured abroad.
In total, in the first quarter of 2026, 14% of all jewelry that received the state hallmark was imported. The average for the period 2020-2026 is 16%.
Almost all imported jewelry must undergo state hallmark control before being sold in Ukraine. The hallmark confirms that the actual precious metal content matches the fineness declared by the manufacturer.
