Those who bought gold yesterday have suffered losses of up to 4.5 million VND per ounce.
At the close of trading on Thursday, July 16, 2026, gold bullion prices remained unchanged between morning and noon. Buying prices closed between 144 million and 145.8 million VND per ounce, while selling prices fluctuated between 147.5 million and 148.5 million VND per ounce.
Compared to yesterday, Saigon Jewelry Company, Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company, Bao Tin Manh Hai, and Phu Quy all reduced gold prices by 300,000 VND per ounce.
DOJI Gold and Gemstone Group maintained gold prices at 145.5 million to 148.5 million VND per ounce. This trend began with the lowest price of 14.75 million VND per tael of gold on the morning of July 16.
The largest drop in gold prices saw buying prices fall by 700,000 VND per ounce and selling prices by 500,000 VND per ounce, reaching 145.8 million to 147.5 million VND per ounce.
Bao Tin Minh Chau gold prices closed at 144 million to 148.2 million VND per ounce, with buying prices rising by 500,000 VND but selling prices falling by 300,000 VND.
DOJI Gold and Gemstone Group offered the highest selling price at 148.5 million VND per ounce. Mi Hong offered the lowest price at 147.5 million VND per ounce, a difference of 1 million VND. In buying prices, Mi Hong offered the highest at 145.8 million VND per ounce, while Bao Tin Minh Chau offered the lowest at 144 million VND per ounce. SJC gold prices closed at 145.2 million to 148.2 million VND per ounce today.
