【Vietnam】Gold Prices Fall for Second Consecutive Day on July 17, 2026, with Losses of Up to 5.2 Million VND per Tael

Gold prices continued to fall for the second consecutive day this morning, with buyers who purchased yesterday incurring losses of up to 5.2 million VND per tael.

As of 10:00 AM on Friday, July 17, 2026, domestic gold prices extended their decline for a second straight day. Many businesses reduced their prices by 1.6 to 1.9 million VND per tael compared to yesterday, bringing the common selling price to 146.6 million VND per tael.

The current buying price ranges between 143 and 144.2 million VND/tael, while the selling price is between 145.6 and 146.6 million VND/tael.

Doji has also significantly reduced its price, bringing it to the same level as SJC Company, at 143.6 to 146.6 million VND/tael.

If customers bought gold at the selling price on July 16 and sold it at the buying price this morning, they would incur a loss of 3.2 to 5.2 million VND per tael. Among the surveyed entities, the highest loss was recorded at Phu Quy, while the lowest loss was at Mi Hong.

Phu Quy currently buys gold at 143 million VND/tael and sells at 146.6 million VND/tael. Compared to yesterday, the buying price decreased by 1.7 million VND/tael, while the selling price decreased by 1.6 million VND/tael.

Buyers who purchased gold on July 16 at 148.2 million VND/tael can now only sell it at 143 million VND/tael, resulting in a loss of 5.2 million VND per tael. This is the highest loss among the businesses with updated data.

Doji has reduced its gold price from yesterday’s level of 145.5–148.5 million VND/tael to 143.6–146.6 million VND/tael. Thus, both buying and selling prices decreased by 1.9 million VND/tael.
